Regional Convention 2015

OMG

You know how they say Regional Conventions get better every year?! OMG SO TRUE.

So this convention is a little different, they have all these brilliant videos going on and the drama’s in 2 parts and even the PROGRAM is so colorful and printed with illustrations and they even have an interactive version on JW.ORG that it’s incredibly brilliant

Yes, please.

So the theme of this year’s convention is IMITATE JESUS-and oh my, it’s a wonderful theme. So far, I’ve been to days 1 and 2 so there’s already 1 day left, sniff sniff, it goes by so quick!

The last video about the inactive ones-that made me CRY, esp in the English version but yeah, it made me think of BC-i wonder how she is doing, I wonder how her mom and sister are doing….apparently they were moving back to korea but who knows?? I feel really, really badly about her. 🙁

Like if maybe I’d been more attentive she wouldn’t have started that strange relationship with that strange lady and she wouldn’t have run off?

But that photo of the shepherd with the lamb is a favorite of mine. And that brochure! They spoil us!

And from today-all those new Caleb and Sophie videos- you can see how the society really cares for the little ones!

And dinner at Orales! with H, A, TJK, JA, CB and her brothers W and M B, H-this really pretty new sister from Edison, NH, Kat from NY and her friends E and JC from LA.

Then Torico for ginger ice cream! yum! (although OMG i was so nervous about fitting into my sausage casing stop staring! dress but whew, i did!! 😀 and OMG I found out why I was having the runs, it was from the protein shakes-apparently when you take in that much protein at a time it causes you to have the runs, plus the sugar alchohol!)

Then today dinner at Totowa with H, L and C, E, J and BW from Patterson 🙂

AND OMG our plumbing!! so apparently there is this crack in our water system and it’s been flooding our garage-it’s disastrous!!

Like, we aren’t even able to take showers disastrous! ARGH I just hope we are fixed by the time Warwick guests arrive on Wednesday!!

And POOR BECKY THE TURTLE! So around a month ago, I noticed her armpits (ㅋㅋㅋshe has the cutest little armpits, so fat and squishy!) had these little red cracks.

No biggie, I thought, I’ll just dry dock her (Well actually I think she got the cracks initially from being too dry, oh wells :T), keep the wounds clean with a dab of betadine-non toxic for turtles, I researched! and keep them moist with alternating ky jelly and neosporin.

BUT they wounds just get getting worse and OMG she was getting in them in her leg pits! OMG OMG OMG I was full blown panicking at this point so I was like freaking out and we got her an appointment with a MD.

She got a checkup and 7 shots of Baytrix which is given q3d on alternating armpits, and I felt so badly because she would panic and SHE WOULD BITE! HUH. She never, ever bites.

Becky is a sweet little thing. It made me cry a little every time but eventually my dad found a way to keep her down and my sister-who is heartless sometimes but not really, she’s just better than me at giving shots-would jab the poor little baby with the needle-a diabetic insulin needle, very fine but OMG when the injection site is a wee baby turtle’s soft and squishy armpit it is HUGE, let me tell you!-and she would start to flail her cute little chubby arms…T_T

But yeah. Her pits have all healed but OMG now her chin! Her poor chin!

so she has to go back to the vet.

OMG

but first I have to enjoy my dahui!

SO tired, I have first aid tomorrow AM from 7:45 to 12PM so we’ll see how it goes.

AND sad that they won’t let us sit on the balcony but oh wells, no cleaning assignment and it doesn’t make sense to have people sit up there when we barely fill out the first floor so whatever. 🙂

So that is the scoop ^__^

I’m going to bed-I have to wake up way early tomorrow!

Service at Caffe Bene 6/14/2015

so as the title implies, i am currently doing letter writing service at caffe bene.

its been a nice long service day today and i really appreciated it.

so in the morning i went out with A unnie and JH and TJK, street work with A unni and while we didnt have too many conversations, J and TJ said they spoke with a couple. Very nice and left them their number as well.

then we met up at mcdonalds and omg 감동이야! JH remembered that i wanted soft serve ice cream and that A unni wanted ice coffee and HE GOT IT FOR US!!

멋있었엉!!

GOSH, I just have to say, JH is one of THE sweetest guys in all of our circuit, I love him, hope he never leaves!!

And I really appreciate that he keeps it respectful with the sisters, like with him, you’ll never be confused because he keeps it very conservative.

He’s like a korean, haha!

Anyways, let’s just say I’m just super impressed!

(yes this was written way back in June-SORRY! i will be better with writing, hopefully!!)

GOOD BYE MALIBU T^T

can i just devote a post to how much i love the heated toilet seat?

who ever invented the bidet, i will love you always.

seriously, there’s nothing quite like sitting on a WARM toilet seat on a cold day especially in the mornings when you’re not quite awake.

it is a must in the winter time. and in the summer time when the a/c is working too too hard but no one in the house will let you turn it off.

but erhm…all silliness aside, as the title suggests, goodbye MALIBU 🙁

so yesterday was an ordinary thursday, with work then studies then eating out (lol!) and then writing at home before falling asleep early around 12.

around 1, mommy wakes me up and says something along the lines of wake up, the malibu’s gone. 🙁

OMG! whaddayamean?! i hastily stumble towards the door before realizing i’m only in short shorts and a tank top. i pull on whatever i can find and run outside and OMG.

firstly, our neighbor (the girl, i haven’t really seen her often but er she looks like S) is bringing the stuff from the trunk to our door.

and the car is completely TOTALED. like omg, the front is gone and the back is gone and there are a ton of towing cars everywhere and lights from police cars and omg omg omg

the neighbor explains to me that there was a big bang and then 3 seconds later there was another one. she came running out and what happened was there was a tow truck and he drove up the opposite side of the road and completely head on collided with my sister’s car

the car was thrown up and sideways towards the trees where it collided with the trees then started to roll back towards our driveway.

then the tow truck saw that it was going to hit ALL of our cars and pulled up in front of our cars and got hit again!

O.O

it was absolutely horrible. meanwhile my sister is in shock, actually we all are.

the neighbors all were like running out when they heard and she started banging on our door and my father and my sister and mom were like the first ones out, can you believe i didn’t even hear?!

omg and i felt kinda bad because i did a bad parking that my sister parked out on the street and that’s why my dad’s car was parked in the driveway and my sister’s car got totaled. and it would have totally worked out if my dad’s car was the one tht was totaled, that thing’s a dinosaur anyways!

but man! he must have been going super fast to have my sister’s car thrown so far back!! 🙁

i’m just glad no one was hurt.

but now we are down a car and my sister’s super upset. originally we were going to have her drive grandpa’s old benz because obviously he’s no longer driving but apparently my uncle totaled his beamer and decided to drive grandpa’s car.

that kinda sucks.

we are kinda short on cash recently so it really puts a dent in our finances. 🙁

but eh, importantly no one was severely hurt. and the tow truck driver saved our other cars

imagine if ALL of our cars were damaged?! OMG we would have been so so screwed.

but yeah. i loved that malibu. so many nice memories. and we JUST had it fixed. and the payments were all finished and it was such a beautiful car.

my sister was just saying that afternoon how much she loved that car 🙁

and she also mentioned my crappy parking. ah wells. ecclesiastes 9:11

and besides, my sister’s car wouldn’t have been parked out in the street had we not had any guests from warwick over at our home so in a way it’s another sacrifice for Jehovah.

what can we say? we will make it out.

(but i will still miss that wonderful car with that wonderful butt warmer-err i kinda really do love my heated seats haha!)

oh wells.

we will just have to lease a car and hopefully in 2 years we will be all settled again. eh.

life is so complicated.

i’m going to bed.
