A Pale Pink City

My Life in Fiction

Month: September 2014 (Page 2 of 2)

family ♡

Omg!

Phantom of the Opera with the family tonight (althoug technically its yesterday because its now past 12 smh)

It was fantastic. quite so.

Although it really did cement my intense dislike for the phantom.

He is a murderer and a stalker and a blackmailing thief.

(But more on the that later)

Im just glad the family enjoyed the show, dad was so excited he was all ready to go by 5!!

And he was waiting for mom to come since 4.

And mom, boy, she was practically bursting with excitment!!

And the sisters as well- actually it was everyones first broadway 🙂

But now its late (1246!!) And i have to go to bed.

Work tomorrow grrr…. 🙁

Dearly beloved…

J,

i wonder what you are up to every minute of the day.

like today, while i was trudging along in my carb fueled nauseous  insanity i’d get flashes of your beautiful blue eyes…

Sigh.

I am crazy.

cant wait to see you again even though i dont know when that would be…

heres to desperately hoping you are invited to the D and S wedding. Like desperately.

xo

hohum :)

So yikes i know its been like forever. I mean its already September!! Man, where did August go??

Ok well nvm. I kinda know what happened to August.

I had to make up like 100++ service time so i was completely focused on the ministry but not in the way i would have hoped so 🙁

(And whats terrible is that September i ended up slacking off for the first half of the month so yeah pretty much I am screwed 0.0)

Plus work was pretty crazy- i mean hello?? Its already almost the end of September and the workload is nowhere near lightening up so that is a major bummer…

But a few highlights since July lol-

We had the k and j good bye party at rockland state park as they are moving to china. Sniff.

then i took my sisters’ studies (4little boys like all 7 and younger- totes adorbs!!) To Wallkill and Patterson!!

(I totally needed the time and it was completely cheating but hey the boys had fun and i was able to spend a day with L so thats always fun, plus anytime im off of work is a +++)

After that another weekend at Patterson, a very suibian weekend with not much happening which honestly is the best kind of infirmary weekend!

(Although one of the nurses, V, had me running after work which i thought was totally cool. Can you imagine me running?? Seriously though. Haha! I did like 1 mile before collasping all out of breath fml)

Then on labor day instead of being exemplary Christians and going out to service, the sisters and i went out to 6 flags lolol- and the labor day crowds at 6 flags??

Nonexistant. Like seriously. The park was empty. We rode nitro twice in less than 30 minutes and no line at all for bizarro formerly medusa and pretty much 20 min for green lantern which is unheard of.

Only thing was superman was closed that day which is a bummer 🙁

And then the next weekend we went to the beach lol! It was me, H, S+D in one car and we met S.P and J who were already surfing when we got there and a whole bunch of other people came lol 🙂

The weekend after that was Gilead Graduation!! Omg there were single gilead graduates which was so so encouraging!! Like really encouraging!!

And man, the talk about the geese and the one about David dancing with the slave girls totally brought tears to my eyes. It really stressed the importance of being humble and then OMG i almost ugly cried when they mentioned something Bro. F Rusk had said to my friend A while we were working in the infirmary, namely:

Jehovah will take care of his family- so dont let money problems get you down. Didn’t the Bible say that he who does not provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever? Would Jehovah not take care of you and become a hypocrite??

OMG. I cried. Like literally i had to sit there with a tissue at my eyes to prevent the makeup from running.

What a privilege to be able to attend the special programs!! 🙂

And then the very next day we had our very first Englewood Mandarin Chinese Satellite meeting!!

Attendance of 25! Plus my sisters will be regularly attwnding the satellite meeting so that thrills me too!

And we had a lovely mexican lunch afterwards-yum!

Also, baby M was born and she is every bit as precious as Ive been dreaming of and more!! I am such a proud ayi! And i even got to hold her, she is just the most cutest thing♡♡♡

So yeah that is pretty much my august and september haha.

I will update with more details later! ♡
